Working with James Butler and Donald Burlock at Dolby Labs, I designed a set of 50 UI icons and an accompanying guideline to help Dolby implement the custom iconography wherever they may need.

UI icons are often utilized to help people more clearlyunderstand and interact with the products they use. With this in mind, Dolby’s iconography system features smoothtransitions, familiar geometry, and general approachfullness.

The linear nature of these icons are an homage to sound waves, and help to create a minimal footprint on the products and interfaces they adorn.

Dolby is a technological company that focuses on the human element – these icons are built to be a steward of that overarching goal.
