Packed with government conspiracies, stealth, action, and espionage, Metal Gear Solid immediately captured my imagination upon its release in 1998. Over a decade later, I still find myself enraptured with its eclectic cast of characters and their melodramatic personalities.

On this dossier, I arranged the portraits so that “good guys” begin at the upper left, and the antagonists begin at the bottom right; this way, characters with less clear motivations and allegiances sit in the middle, between the opposing forces.
